Dr. Vellequette earned his undergraduate degree in Nutritional Science from the University of California, Davis, and his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he also minored in Periodontics. He completes around 200 hours of continuing education each year in areas like orthodontics, dental implants, crowns, veneers, cosmetic dentistry, gum disease treatment, TMJ/TMD care, and sedation, providing advanced dental care to patients from Sunnyvale and the greater San Francisco area.
In 2001, Dr. Vellequette earned the prestigious Mastership Award (MAGD) from the Academy of General Dentistry, a distinction held by fewer than 1,000 dentists nationwide. He completed over 1,100 hours of advanced continuing education, including 400 hours of hands-on training focused on patient care and oral health. He is also a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) and has spent more than 10 years mentoring other dentists in smile design and aesthetic dentistry.
Dr. Vellequette has also contributed to the profession beyond clinical practice by serving on legislative committees and as an alternate delegate for both the California Dental Association (CDA) and the American Dental Association (ADA). In these roles, he has advocated for policies that support patient care, advance oral health, and strengthen the dental profession at both the state and national levels.
